Yahoo recommends that users delete the Yahoo Messenger app after they have downloaded their chat history. Yahoo Messenger users can download their chat history by going to the downloader request site, signing in, selecting a verification method and then entering the Account Key.Īfter clicking download and entering the email where the chat history files will be sent, users can then check the chat history on email. Users will henceforth be unable to access its services, including chats, instead they will be redirected to a new Squirrel service, which is also available for download on iOS and Android on the App Store and Play Store.
